Jura is located on the Isle of Jura (obviously), which is an island on the west coast of Scotland (between Mainland and Islay). This edition from the famous distillery is an homage to Jura’s tallest mountain : the Paps of Jura. The water used in this bottling comes down from this mountain.

.

Color : deep amber.
Nose : hint of peat, white pepper, then trails off with honey and light caramel.
Palate : creamy, orange and citrus dominate with loads of ginger and light notes of peat.
Finish : short/ medium, peat all throughout and mainly sweet fruits.
Comments : I was so incredibly glad I grabbed this while shopping (although briefly) at World of Whisky ! This pour is an absolute pleasure for either a scotch enthusiast or a bourbon lover. Sweet yet a great level of complexity which for me surpasses the Jura 18yo. Great amount of flavor from the 40 year old Pedro Ximenez Sherry in this bottle.
