Nose : franc, precious and very fragrant. Grilled oak, old rum, clove, vanilla, pineapple, juicy apricots, alcohol and wood paint, honey melted, maple syrup, sawdust, mushrooms, lots of oranges and strawberry candies.
Palate : intense, pungent and strong and but a first sip it becomes softer and syrupy… Notes of jalapeños pepper, hot chocolate, mandarin, vanilla, oak, maple syrup or corn syrup.
Final : very long and with caramel, lemon curd, pepper, cinnamon, fruit juice, dry oak, honey and cane sugar syrup.
Comments : it is a very pleasant and intense bourbon that I appreciate very much… Very fruity and spicy. It is very similar to the original Blanton’s at 46% but with more punch and a longer aftertaste ! I love the expressions of melting with punch, complexity and tasty notes like this one. It seems very authentic !
