I made my first steps on Islay in april 2018. The soft rain,the smell of peat in the air,everything was perfect ! Our Airbnb was not ready, what could we do ? Caol ila was a few minutes from the fairy!The option seemed to me very interesting!Here I was,in the tasting room,with a stunning view sipping on an unpeated Caol ila 17 years old at 55,9%

Nose : red fruits, juicy, sugary barley, seaweed, chocolate, nectarine, melon, very gentle
Palate : Again, fruits, smoke, wood, melon, pineapple, very complexe, the mouthfeel is oily and flavours are jostling.
Finish : Barley, wood tannins, seaweed, nuts, espresso, long lasting.
Comments : Outstanding malt, full of complexity,very elegant, almost feminine ! You don’t feel the alcool at all even at 55,9% ! Islay is a truly amazing place and this day, time stopped.
