Unknown casks (to my knowledge)
Color : deep gold.
Nose : maple wood, maple sugar, a hint of vanilla and a touch of apple pie.
Palate : more hot apple pie, this time accompanied by a « Pudding Chômeur » and gingerbread. Rather round in the mouth, we still feel a slight touch of spice, perhaps cinnamon.
Finish : very very short, no burn, no « whisky hotness ».
Comments : I feel like there is a perfect pairing for this whisky, and that would be a warm sweet dessert with apples or maple syrup. I enjoy drinking this whisky, but nothing more.
Some of my whisky newbies friends made an interesting comment tough : this is smooth, very smooth, and doesn’t feel alcoholic at all. Which makes me say that it might be perfect for people who say they don’t like whisky because it’s harsh.
