The Quintero Favoritos is a Cuban Cigar that is not on the pricey list for any afficionado that is looking to get into the hobby.
Quintero’s are smooth, medium bodied tasting cigars that makes it ideal for those seeking to experience the flavour of Habanos at an affordable price.
It is one of the few Habanos brands not born in Cuba’s capital city, Havana. Instead its founder Agustin Quintero with his four brothers set up shop in the south coast city of Cienfuegos, known as the “Pearl of the South”. All the tobaccos selected for Quintero’s filler blend come from Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta zones.
All Quinteros are made using the Tripa Corta, Totalmente a Mano – short filler, totally hand made – technique.

Quintero Favoritos Robusto

Origin: Cuba

Size: 4 1/2

Wrapper: Cuban

Binder/Filler: Cuban

Appearance:
The look of this cuban you can see a few flaws in the cigar that you would expect with a Quintero. There are a few noticable bumps along the cigar as well as the filler looking a bit inconsistent in colour. Color wise it has the shade of a light reddish brown in my opinion a little rusty.

Smoking Notes: This petite robusto is a light to medium cigar with vegetal notes. It gives off a lot of smoke so if you like smoke and something that won’t break the bank to me this every day cigar is pretty good.

Before the light up: You get hints of leather, wood, and earth.

Draw and Burn: The draw and burn on this habano is simple and nice, no complaints for a cigar being so cheap and smoking nicely throughout all the phases of this experience.

Beginning: The start of this robusto is simple and nice, the aromas coming off this cigar are pleasant . This cheap habano has woodyness and earth a few minutes into it and its a pretty easy puff.

Middle: Half way through the woodyness and earth aromas picked up making it a bit stronger, the burn was ok, not great but for a cheaper Habano I’m not complaining. It’s a Cuban.

Final: This is a pleasing smoke that is easy to understand, not overly complex and the flavour profile is what you would expect from a Cuban. hand some out to your friends and i am sure they will enjoy them and for the price it won’t empty your wallet. It is a good entry level cigar if you are into Cuban cigars and would want to introduce this to someone getting into the lifestyle or hobby.
