Brenne 10 yo – French Whisky

48% ABV

Aged in 4 types of barrels : #1 and #2 are Cognac barrels, #3 is used barrels (Bourbon?) and #4 is virgin French Limousin oak

Color : pale yellow, hay

Nose : taffy, chocolate , toffee, slight banana

Palate : oak, floral, slight spice and slight alcohol burn -tickles the lips

Finish : long , the oak continues throughout the entire finish, hints of citrus

Comments : I love the high alcohol proof compared to the NAS Brenne, however this one speaks more in volume of the oak for me, good pour but if your lower on cash I’d lean more toward the nas brenne – still a lovely flavor
